It serves as an aid to diagnosis by qualitatively detecting the presence of the "carbapenem resistance (KPC, NDM, VIM, IMP, OXA 48), quinolone resistance (qnr), Carbapenem resistance (OXA-48), Methicillin resistance (mecA/mecC), ESBL (CTX-M), sulfonamide resistance (sul), vancomycin resistance (vanA, vanB)" in "BAL, Sputum, CSF, Whole blood, Urine, Synovial & Peri-prosthetic fluid, Bone tissue" samples by real-time PCR. These samples are collected from individuals suspected of infection, as determined by their healthcare provider.
