Information Text Regarding the Processing of Personal Data of Candidates Applying for a Job At Bioeksen
Bioeksen R&D Technologies Inc. (“Bioeksen”), in its capacity as the data controller under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 and other applicable legislation, processes the personal data of candidates who apply for a job as specified below, following workplace rules and regulations.
PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED REGARDING CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR A JOB AT BIOEKSEN
A. Personal Data Collected During Job Application:

Bioeksen requests the following information such as name, surname, and date of birth from the candidates to determine the candidate’s identity and evaluate suitability for the position applied for.

Bioeksen requests the following information such as diploma, education status, certificates, foreign language proficiency, computer skills, profession, resume, and salary expectations to determine and assess the professional experience and qualifications of the candidate and to determine their suitability for the position.

Bioeksen requests the phone number and email address of candidates to contact them regarding their application.

Bioeksen requests reference information from candidates to assess their suitability for the position applied for. During the reference check process, Bioeksen will process the answers provided by the references to questions about the candidate, as well as the opinions and evaluations of the references. (Note: The candidate is responsible for informing the references and obtaining explicit consent on behalf of our company regarding the personal data of the references processed (identity (name, surname), contact (email, phone), personnel details (organization/position worked with, dates, and professional relationship), and answers to questions asked.)

Bioeksen will process the identity (name, surname), personnel details (current salary and benefits, institution/position information), salary expectations, reasons for changing jobs, responses to interview questions, and comments related to the interview (date of the interview, feedback, department, and position details) during the interview process to evaluate the suitability of the candidate to the position.

Bioeksen will process the security camera footage of candidates visiting the company (company headquarters and branches) for the job interview for security purposes.

With the candidate's consent (explicit consent), Bioeksen will store the information provided during the application process for up to 3 years to evaluate the candidate for future job positions.

With the candidate's consent (explicit consent), if the application is for a position related to the company’s disabled employee staff, Bioeksen will process health information and documents indicating disability to evaluate suitability for the staff.

The personal data listed above are obtained from candidates applying for a job through the submission of resumes to Bioeksen via email or in person, through human resources firms within the country, through job application forms filled out on the website, or through the registration of personal data shared by the candidate on career platforms where the personal data has been made public. The data is processed based on the legal reason that it is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller.

B. Retention of Personal Data of Job Applicants:
Bioeksen collects the above-listed personal data to assess the suitability of candidates for the position and to contact the candidates. Even if the candidate is not hired, the information is retained by Bioeksen to potentially offer a job in the future if needed, and is not shared with third parties.
Even if the job application is not accepted for the applied position, candidates who do not wish their resume to be retained by Bioeksen for 3 years to be evaluated in case of future personnel needs, are requested to indicate this when submitting their resume to Bioeksen.
While Bioeksen requests only the minimum required above information from candidates, candidates are free to include additional information in their resumes. However, by the Personal Data Protection Law, candidates are requested not to include special categories of personal data such as their race, ethnical background, political opinions, philosophical beliefs, religion, sect, or other beliefs, attire, membership in associations, foundations or trade unions, health, sexual life, criminal records, and security measures, as well as biometric and genetic data.
Your Rights
You can send your petition containing requests within the scope of Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, which regulates the rights of the relevant person, by mail to the address Huzur Mah.
