Blood ID-1 Panel

The ""Bio-Speedy® Blood ID-1 Panel" is a multiplexed real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) test intended for the qualitative detection of multiple bacterial and fungal nucleic acids in "Whole Blood, Positive Blood Culture" obtained from individuals suspected to be infected. The Bio-Speedy® Blood ID-1 Panel functions as an aid to the diagnosis of Sepsis. The results of this test should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis, treatment, or patient management decisions. The following bacterial and fungal sepsis agents and antimicrobial resistance genes can be detected and differentiated with the Bio-Speedy® Blood ID-1 Panel: "Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas spp., VanA-Vancomycin resistance, Candida spp., VanB-Vancomycin resistance, Staphylococcus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Haemophilus influenzae, CTX-M ESBL, Klebsiella oxytoca, OXA-48-Carbapenem resistance, KPC-Carbapenem resistance, NDM-Carbapenem resistance, VIM-Carbapenem resistance, IMP-Carbapenem resistance, Listeria monocytogenes, Enterococcus faecalis, mecA/mecC-Methicillin resistance, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Enterobacteriaceae spp., Streptococcus spp., Enterococcus faecium, Escherichia coli, Neisseria meningitidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae." The application of Blood ID-1 Panel does not depend on population and demographic aspects.
