The "Bio-Speedy® Antibiotic Resistance qPCR Panel" is a qualitative and non-automated in vitro medical device that detects the antimicrobial resistance genes for “Carbapenem resistance (KPC, NDM, VIM, IMP, OXA-48, TEM), Quinolone resistance (qnr), Vancomycin resistance (vanA, vanB), Methicillin resistance ( mecA/mecC), ESBL (CTX-M, shv1), Sulfonamide resistance (sul), Trimethoprim resistance (dfrA), Aminoglycosides resistance (aadA, aadB, APH(3’)-la, AAC(3)-IV), Macrolides resistance (ermA, ermB, ermC), Ampicillin resistance (ampC) and Colistin resistance (mcr)” and functions as aid to diagnosis. Bio-Speedy® Antibiotic Resistance qPCR Panel requires "BAL, Sputum, CSF, Whole blood, Urine, Synovial & Peri-prosthetic fluid, Bone tissue" samples. The kit is non-automated and functions as an aid to diagnosis and intended for use by laboratory professionals trained in the techniques of qPCR and in vitro diagnostic procedures.
